Amongst the vast general clinical experience his time spent in geriatrics and various medical specialities including cardiovascular, neurology, medical oncology and hepatology is worth mentioning.
He is highly committed to provide best practice medical services to our region in the long run.
Dr. Edward Ogiji

Edward has 30 years of professional experience as a doctor.
He has a wide range of experience and has worked in Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Brisbane and the Gold Coast over the past decade.
He loves working in the Fraser Coast Region and helping to improve the quality of care in this region.
With a broad range of experience and having seen patients from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of health conditions, Edward is very enthusiastic in offering the best of his services to the entire Fraser Coast Community.
Edward is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
His special interests are Paediatrics / Kid’s Health, Men’s and Women’s Health, Infectious Diseases, Diabetes Mellitus, Tropical and Travel Medicine and chronic diseases.
Dr. Ahmed Elsedfy
Intensive Care
Ahmed has been working in Medicine for more than 30 years.
He has a wide experience and training in dealing with different injuries in all age groups.
Ahmed’s experiences in New Zealand and Australia in emergency and intensive care have given him a great insight in dealing with complicated health problems.
Dr Ahmed has special interest in General Practice, General Medicine, Minor Surgical Procedures, Injuries and Skin Cancer.

Dr. Romika Lal
General Practice
Our first female doctor on board, Dr Romika has recently joined our team from Brisbane.
Originally from Fiji, Romika has a passion for General Practice and her areas of interest include Women’s Health, Palliative Care, Aged Care, Chronic Disease Management, Paediatrics and Tropical Medicine.
She is very open, friendly and exceptionally caring.
Romika is committed to developing long term relationship with her patients, Jema Clinic Team and the Fraser Coast community. She brings to the Bay Region, her special interest in Women’s Health, Aged care and Palliative Care.
Dr. Mahinath Bandara
General Practice
Mahinath has had more than 8 years of professional experience and has worked both in Australia and overseas.
With the appropriate qualification and experience, Dr Bandara’s special areas of interest include General Practice, Emergency presentations to General Practice, General Medicine, Women’s health, Minor surgical procedures, Dermatology and Skin Cancer.
Dr. Chamini Jayasinghe

I have over 13 years of professional experience including 6 years in United Kingdom and rest of the experience in Sri Lanka and Australia.
I have clinical experience in various specialities including medicine,surgery,paediatrics, anaesthetics and intensive care unit.
My special areas of interest include women's health, paediatrics, Dermatology and mental health.
